The Charles Street Gallery's 2008 Invitational is a multi-media show of work by sixteen Lowcountry artists and photographers, all presenting new Lowcountry Still Lifes.

The 16 artists are: Jim Rothnie, Karen Peluso, Rebecca Davenport, Lynn Brown, Priscilla Merrick, Alexandra Sharma, Gary Geboy, Sharon DeAlexandris, Joan Templer, Cabell Heyward, Kathy Crowther, Melba Cooper, Gerry Diaz, Roger L. Steele, Susan Graber, and Benton Lutz.

These established artists will create vignettes abundant with color and form. The original scenes they create will portray the graces and momentos of Lowcountry life in ways that are classic, translatable, and touching. Together, the show will create an impressive archive of the Lowcountry in its first decade of the 21st Century.

Charles Street Gallery is an established source for Lowcountry and international art, presented within a carefully renovated house surrounded by a lush garden in the middle of Beaufort's historic district.
