Get Your Art Out there with Arts Council of Beaufort County Quarterly Community Arts Grants
ACBC grants range from $200 to $1000, to provide support to all residents of Beaufort County for high quality arts programs and cultural projects that celebrate the diversity of the Lowcountry. The next grant review panel will meet in February, so grant applications must be submitted by February 15th.

The Arts Council of Beaufort County has a new emerging artist initiative that is re-defining its role as a not-for-profit service organization. Get Your Art Out is about the business of art, life as an artist, and nurturing the arts in Beaufort County. A visual arts track begins February 22. A literary track begins March 19. It’s a new time and a new place but the Friends of the Beaufort County Library kicks off its 22nd annual Books Sandwiched In program on Monday, Jan. 7 with the same stimulating entertainment, coffee and cookies.

For eight weeks, through Feb. 25, book lovers are invited to gather at 1 p.m. Mondays in the Sea Island Presbyterian Church on Lady’s Island for an opportunity to hear reviews of eight best sellers or books of local interest.
